Brockley Max programme cover competition extended
Before the schools broke up for Easter we announced our competition for secondary schools pupils across the borough to design the front cover for this year’s Brockley Max Festival programme. Word didn’t get out to everyone so, in order to give all 11-to-18 year olds in the area a fair chance of entering, we’ve just extended the deadline by a week.
Rather than having to submit your A5 cover design by the end of Sunday 18th, you now have the whole of the first week back at school to come up with an eye-catching design. The new deadline is midnight on Sunday 25th April.
There are three art prizes up for grabs, with a top prize worth £30. Of course, you also get the kudos of your artwork appearing on the festival programme (a pretty good entry for your portfolio) where it will be seen and admired by thousands of people. The designs will be judged by the Brockley Max team along a local artist and a local gallery owner. The winning design will be announced in the first week of May.
We are looking for an A5 portrait cover design (152mm x 216mm). Please leave a 6cm x 8cm square for the logo and dates and a 3cm tall bar next to it for the words ‘Festival Programme’. Remember that the focus of Brockley Max is as a community arts festival, celebrating and including artists, performers and audiences of all ages and from lots of different backgrounds. It needs to appeal to everyone!
To submit your finished artwork complete this form and make sure you upload a jpg with your name and email address in the jpg’s title (otherwise we won’t know who sent it).
Good luck!
