Strut your stuff at our Funkin’ Fundraiser
Brockley Max’s programme of fundraising events continues with three fantastic events in March. First up is the Funkin’ Fundraiser for Brockley Max – a boogietastic night of dancing on Friday 6th March at fab local pub and music venue The Fox & Firkin. Entry costs just £5.
DJ Giles Frampton, aka mrTidy, regularly DJs around the area, putting on the popular BoogieBack disco nights and hosted the United Sound of Sydenham club night.
Giles says: “People of SE4, a date for your diary – you deserve to dance! Brockley Max has fetched up it’s biggest baddest funkiest fundraiser to date. For a fiver we have cooked up a night of hot stepping musical goodness, pulling out all the stops to deliver you complete sonic satisfaction. All proceeds go towards the delivery of this year’s community arts festival. Send your friends a calendar request!”
Kicking off at 9pm and taking you all the way through to 2am, our #SaveBrockleyMax Funkin’ Fundraiser sees mrTidy joined by another celebrated local DJ and musician, Dre. Dre aka The DreZone has MCed Brockley Max opening night several times and is also an established musician, producer and DJ.
Other fundraising events in March include SelFolk and The Grizzly Mutts at Brockley Social Club on Friday 13th March and HeyGringo! Bolivia and Beyond – a hilarious show by award-winning raconteur Peter Searles on 27th March, also at Brockley Social Club.
