Forest, Field and Suburb; the Evolution of Crofton Park
Free
Venue: Starts outside Pistachio’s cafe, Hilly Fields
Time: 2pm – 4pm
Walking some of the oldest paths and trackways, we will see how, over the last 1,000 years, our area has changed from a clearing in the Great North Wood to the modern-day London suburb of Crofton Park. Led by Mike Brown of Crofton Park History, we shall find centuries-old field boundaries, and see how the old canal, railways, Big House and Brockley Jack all played their parts in shaping the area.
