Deadline extended for our Opening Night and Max In The Park stages
Brockley Max’s 25th anniversary festival is shaping up nicely, with around 50 events pencilled in already and many more soon to be firmed up. We know some people are scrambling to finalise venues and times to meet our planned deadline of tomorrow (Friday 27 March). We want to give everyone time to get the full details together, so we are keeping the events submission window open until Tuesday 30 March. If you haven’t already been in touch to let us know at least an outline of our plans, please email events@brockleymax.co.uk as soon as possible so we can add your event to our master schedule while you finalise the details.
Similarly, we’re keen to get the best possible line-up for our renowned Opening Night and Max In The Park events and we have dozens and dozens of applications to sort through. We’ve had some great submissions but still have a few slots available for performers for both Opening Night on Friday 6 June and our Max In The Park stage on Hilly Fields on Saturday 6 June. We are therefore extending the deadline for performer submissions until 6 April to allow us to get a more varied mix on both line-ups.
If you have already applied to perform and submitted YouTube clips, Instagram Reels, Soundcloud, Spotify or Bandcamp links, rest assured we have been listening to and discussing every single one. We have been busy reviewing and discussing all the submissions so far and will be firming up the performer list and getting in touch with people who have been shortlisted over the next week or so. Thanks for your patience.
As always, we need more female-led acts and also want to ensure we are reflecting the diversity of our fantastic borough. Our wonderful Creative Producer, Christine Bramwell, has been doing a fantastic job of telling local arts organisations and performers about Brockley Max and we’re sure the final line up will be wonderful.
The slight deadline extension of course means that if you have been considering throwing your hat into the ring as a potential performer – or you know a band or musician who you think would fit the bill – you have a few more days to send in an application form along with a photo and some clips that demonstrate just what a compelling performer you are.
