Halloween Kids’ Ceilidh now sold out!

A huge thank you to the wonderful families across Brockley, Crofton Park and beyond – we have now sold out of tickets to tomorrow’s Halloween Kids’ Ceilidh at St Hilda’s Church Hall. It’s brilliant to see so many of you are up for the idea of a spooky dance!

The Kids’ Ceilidh promises to be a fabulous afternoon

Massive thanks to the fantastic Box of Delights Ceilidh Band for organising such a fun event, which has really caught everyone’s imagination, and to St Hilda’s in Crofton Park for allowing us to hold the event in their lovely, large hall.

The Halloween Kids’ Ceilidh is the first family-focused fundraiser we have hosted and we’ve been delighted with the response!

For those with a wicked glint in their eye when thinking about just desserts for certain politicians and ne’erdowells, the next treat in the Brockley Max calendar is the world premiere of satirical cartoonist Martin Rowson’s Reform School, upstairs at The Brookmill pub on Tuesday 24 November.

In this expletive-laden show – unsurprising given he’ll be talking about Nigel Farage and Brexit – Martin will expostulate on the state of the world and those who exploit it.

Martin has great form lampooning those hugely deserving of the dishonour with his regular cartoons in The Guardian, The Byline Times and other illustrious publications.

An evening of satirical scrawlings and historical horrors. Reform School will track the rise – and hopefully the downfall – of Nigel Farage through cartoons, along with brief explorations of Brexit and its legacy. Swearing and foul imagery mean this show is thoroughly unsuitable for actual schoolchildren. Tickets are just £13.50 apiece, with proceeds going towards putting on Brockley Max 2027.
