Enjoy the spirit of Brockley Max online

This Friday would have seen the Opening Night of this year’s Brockley Max Festival. Since we can’t come together at the moment to sing, dance and make music, we’ve decided to share the creative endeavours of local artists, musicians, makers and performers here on our website and on social media.

First up, to conjure up the magic of Brockley Max festivals past, our erstwhile Opening Night MC and fantastic DJ The DreZone (aka MC Dre) presents a specially remixed version of his DreZone performance on Hilly Fields.

The DreZone – Live At Brockley Max – premiere

This 45-minute concert originally took place on Saturday 5th June 2010 on top of Hilly Fields. This performance includes early versions of songs which would make it to a later released solo album Soliloquy 7.

After co-hosting a brilliant Brockley Max fundraising event with DJ Giles Frampton earlier this year The DreZone was set to return to Hilly Fields a decade after this performance as part of this year’s festival. Instead, he’s remixed his original performance for us.
