Brockley Max is guaranteed to keep the kids – big and small – entertained this May half term. Here’s our roundup of the top festival picks for families.
Children of Lewisham. Your borough needs you. The year is 1883. Developers are threatening to demolish Hilly Fields to make way for a factory. They must be stopped! Help save our precious meadowland for future generations.
Your mission will take you on a treasure trail around Brockley and its surrounds. Use your map to track down all the protected wildflowers from local Lewisham Card shops. Then enter our prize draw for a chance to get your mitts on a treasure chest full of goodies (worth approx £170). Good luck!
Octavia Hill (founder of the National Trust, campaigner extraordinaire and wearer of humongous knickers) will announce the winner during Art In The Park on 4th June.
Other highlights include:
Party the afternoon away at the best disco in town. Whether you’re a tumbling tot, funky groover or Dad dancer. Includes soft play, a bouncy castle and arts and crafts for under 4s.
Longhorn Diner invites you to get crafty and decorate your very own horns! There are prizes for the best ones! Each participant will get a party bag. Recommended for 3-11 year olds.
Three Cajun Pigs | St Hilda’s Church | 11am & 2pm, 31st May | £5 plus booking fee. Advance tickets available here.
