Free (except Rowson workshop)
The festival aims to celebrate past and present writers living and working in the broader Brockley area, encourage new writing talent of all ages and backgrounds and foster an enjoyment of reading and talking about books and everything connected to the written word. It will include children’s fiction and fun activities; readings; poetry; workshops and panel discussions with writers including Helena Lee, Kenya Hunt and Gemma Seltzer focusing on living in SE London. Exciting young authors Natasha Brown and Lara Williams will be reading from their latest books. Other highlights include food writer Ella Risbridger, local authors and poets, children’s writers and launch of a new Brockley Book Club led by Crofton Books with Anna Dempsey. The festival is being organised by Brockley Society and Crofton Books. Brockley Max will be running Martin Rowson caricature workshop at the festival.
