Vote for the amazing woman you'd like to see memorialised in Brockley.
We have been commissioned by the Mayor of London to paint three murals of incredible Black women who have had an impact in Lewisham, and in some cases, beyond. The project is part of Untold Stories - to provide context, insight or draw attention to invisible, contested or absent diverse heritage in London’s public spaces. Not all of our amazing women are familiar, so this project offers the opportunity to tell their stories for generations to come. The murals will be painted during Brockley Max festival 2-10 June 2023, by three local artists.
You can find out about each of the women here, and then click on your favourite woman to cast your vote below. The winning women will be announced in April.
And check out our competition for children and young people!
