Fox & Firkin sponsors Brockley Max with celebratory gig

Popular Lewisham venue The Fox & Firkin is set to host an all-day music event celebrating Brockley Max’s 25-year milestone. The event, on Sunday 31 May, is co-curated by Fox & Firkin and Brockley Max and will include a mix of returning festival performers and stars of London’s jazz scene Theon Cross and neo-soul singer-songwriter HillaryNX. The Brockley Max All Dayer will take over Fox & Firkin’s garden, which has its own stage, bars and food stalls.

The Fox & Firkin team were particularly keen to secure headliner Theon Cross to perform at the venue having enjoyed his sold-out performances elsewhere in London. HillaryNX, meanwhile, comes personally recommended by Brockley Max’s creative producer Christine Bramwell. HillaryNX has been winning rave reviews in the music press for her jazz jam performances at The Southbank Centre and The Royal Albert Hall.

Brockley Max MC Dre will be a familiar sight at the All-Dayer, fresh from hosting duties introducing performers at the festival’s Opening Night on Friday 29 May. Dre is a talented multi-instrumentalist who has played with internationally renowned performers and is a regular part of Prince Party UK and the Blues Kitchen line-ups. Dre will be putting on one of the event’s three DJ sets. Other performers include Arch 57, The Palindrones and Phoenix Outliers, all of who have performed at both Brockley Max Opening Night and Max In The Park. They will be joined by Jez Kemp, who made a popular debut at Brockley Max 2025, as well as DJs Dre, mrTidy and Simon Strutt.

Tickets for the All Dayer are available from the Fox & Firkin website, with early bird tickets costing just £12, reflecting the fact this will be a community event, with performer costs covered by the venue as part of its wider sponsorship of Brockley Max.

Fox & Firkin will also be a major presence at our Max In The Park family day festival on Saturday 6 June where it will be hosting the canopy-covered bar selling its own Firkin Brewery beers including a festival beer. The line-up for the Max In The Park stage is currently being finalised and will feature dancers, musicians and bands from midday until 5pm, and will be followed by the all-important Brockley Max raffle – a significant source of income for the festival.
