Brockley Max opens for volunteer applications
Brockley Max’s volunteer registrations are now live with a brand-new volunteering platform designed to make it much easier to sign up to shifts. We’re using a dedicated program, Team Kinetic, to manage volunteer registrations and schedules. It’s going to be overseen by our lovely new Volunteer Coordinator, Finn Arschavir.
Finn introduces himself here but you will also have a chance to meet him and many others from Brockley Max’s organising team, at our special recruitment meet-up on Tuesday 24 March from 7pm at The Fox & Firkin. This informal event is for current volunteers as well as prospective ones, so if you’ve registered with us before and are keen to be part of Brockley Max again this year – perhaps even learn about team leader roles – come along and find out detailed plans for our 25th anniversary festival.
If you can’t wait to get started, you can now sign up to volunteer with Brockley Max using this here: https://brockleymax.co.uk/volunteer-2026/
We are delighted to welcome Finn Arschavir (he/him) as Brockley Max’s new Volunteer Coordinator. Glasgow-born and former Honor Oak resident Finn is a community producer and artist and has around five years’ experience of managing teams of volunteers. Finn is excited to be part of Brockley Max and keen to share the range of volunteering opportunities available. “If you have never volunteered before, I highly recommend you try it. And if you are a seasoned pro at Brockley Max then there are plenty of reasons to come back this year!”
Having spent many hours recently getting our new volunteer platform ready for us to use, Finn is confident the TeamKinetic platform will make volunteering easier than ever. Once you registered, you will be able to see details of available volunteer roles and sign up to briefings, shifts and team events.
Volunteering with Brockley Max is open to anyone aged 16 and above as well as younger people taking on shifts alongside a responsible adult. For example, Met Police cadets and other youth groups have volunteered with us for many years, helped set up gazebos, hand out festival programmes and keep the event sites clean and tidy.
Although Brockley Max runs from Friday 29 May to Saturday 6 June, there are plenty of tasks before then for which we need volunteers. Key tasks include distributing festival programmes, putting up banners, driving equipment to venues, selling raffle tickets, taking photos and videos for our social media posts and perhaps even conducting interviews.
Volunteers each get a Brockley Max t-shirt – sponsored this year by our friends at Brockleys Rock – thank you certificate and an invitation to our exclusive volunteer after-party, as well as course as your pick of events during the festival itself.
