Art In the Park 2015
Art in the Park blends is a magical, creative day for all the family. The all-afternoon event is sponsored by Brockley’s Rock and includes face painting, kids’ workshops, craft and food stalls, beer, music and fun. What’s not to love? Join in our family fun day from midday.
This afternoon of fun includes:
Children’s Magical Marquee – £5 per child
This fantastic family day gets going at midday with a range of creative workshops for children up to 14 years. Workshops include felt-making, comics workshop, crochet for beginners, make your own headgear, portrait painting, balloon modelling, puppets and recycled sculpture.
Storytelling Tent & Colouring Workshops – Free
Readings 1pm and 3pm
Children join in as author Claire Stanhope reads the beautifully illustrated story of Brenda, whose bottom is “far too big to even fit on a London bus”. Brenda’s drawing and colouring workshops. open to all ages.
The Hunt Academy For Young Actors present Bitesize Theatrical Pieces – Free
An opportunity to see Hunt Academy’s young actors perform a variety of dramatic and comedic monologues, duologues and small scenes from stage and screen. Come to the Stone Circle every hour on the hour
to see some of our best local talent.
Brockley’s Rock Fishing and Magic Show – Free
Brockley’s Rock’s fishing pond was one of the most popular stalls at last year’s Art In The Park. This year, you’ll have another chance to try and hook a fish, while at 3pm there’s a magician to delight and amaze you.
Felix School of Rock Stage
Local musical talent of all ages takes to the Brockley Max stage and will entertain you all afternoon long.
