With so many great art events taking place, it’s hard to know where to start. Here are our highlights.

Merging Inks Paint Jam | 180 Brockley Road |  6:00 pm – 9:30 pm, 27th May | Free

The wall of 180 Brockley Road is the canvas for this live, collaborative art jam. The theme is shape. Watch artists get creative and have a go yourself! And all to the strains of the music from the Opening Night stage.

Martin Rowson Retrospective | Ladywell Gallery | 12 – 6pm, 27th May – 4th June | Free

Award-winning cartoonist Rowson has drawn for every imaginable publication from The Guardian to The Racing Post. This exhibition features his newspaper cartoons & book illustrations, all for sale.

Taking Shape | CueB Gallery | 30th May – 3rd June | Free

An art competition and exhibition exploring shape. The winning entry will be bought and displayed by Shape Real Estate in their new central London development.

To Be Converted | 52 Whitbread Road | 6.30-8.30pm on 27th May and 12-6pm 28th/29th May & 4th/5th June | Free

The fifth and final incarnation of Bread & Jam. An exhibition held in a unique location spread over three floors and featuring twelve artists. Bread and jam will be served.

Doing Time | The Talbot | 12– 9pm, 28th May | Free

Sara Twomey will showcase ‘Doing Time’, a series of black paintings, where she encourages you to spend time with her. Come and paint or just watch this unique painter at work.

BamboPink | The Talbot | 12 – 5pm, 3rd June | Free

Watch on as BamboPink fills the walls of The Talbot with dogs! This very talented painter is worth meeting, commissions undertaken.

Turn On And ‘Toon In with Martin Rowson | Hilly Fields | 4th June | Free

The multi-award winning satirist will take to Hilly Fields to create a giant cartoon, live, during Art In The Park. Expect babies, dogs and poo bags…

Open Studio | Lewisham ArtHouse | 12 – 6pm, 4th June | Free

Artists offer a rare glimpse into their studios as they open to the public. Event trail for children, with prizes. Food, drink and jerk chicken in the yard.
