Brockley Max Opening Night this Friday

We’re counting down the days to the festival now and can’t wait for Friday 29 May when it all kicks off. We’ve got a brilliant line up of performers who will be entertaining everyone in the vicinity of Brockley Station from 3.30pm onwards as part of our fantastic free Opening Night.

As afternoon stretches into evening you’ll be able to enjoy the Hummy Mummies Choir, Creekside, festival favourites The Hit Men and Dr Joe Joe, Max Pope, Whisper Anthem and our amazing headline act, reggae star Ras Keith and The Borderline Band.

The Opening Night stage is on the corner of Foxberry Road and Coulgate Street on the approach to Brockley station. You’ll be able to buy food and drink from local cafes and bars and one of this year’s sponsors, Wetherspoons, has come up with a special festival menu that you can buy from The Brockley Barge.

This free music evening isn’t the only Brockley Max event on the first day of the festival, though. There are free workshops at the Brockley Rise Centre and art exhibitions at the Lewisham Arthouse, Beecroft Garden Primary School and Crofton Park Community Library.

For the full events list see Festival Programme 2015. There’s a detailed event listing as well as a downloadable PDF of our programme.
