Show off at Brockley Max

Are you a poet, an actor, a storyteller or an artist? Do you dance, sing, strum or craft? Brockley Max is looking for a whole host of performers, exhibitors and workshop leaders to appear as part of this year’s festival.

The Brockley Max festival takes place from Friday 29 May until Saturday 6 June, bookended by a fantastic evening of music and dance at our Opening Night and culminating in a wonderful family day on Hilly Fields with children’s workshops, bands and a bar. You can apply to be involved in either of these – or you can arrange your own event at a venue of your choosing. We’ll even promote it for you for free.

All you have to do is complete an event application form and send it back to us by 6th April. You need to complete the same form whether you want to put on an event yourself or you want to perform at our Opening Night or Art In The Park family day.

We’re lucky enough to have dozens of venues in the Brockley, Crofton Park, Ladywell and Honor Oak Park areas where you can put on a show. Pubs, halls, cafes and shops with performance spaces or walls to exhibit on are at your disposal. There’s a handy list of local venues, complete with contact details, here on our website.

Performing at Brockley Max is an excellent way to get noticed. All events are featured on our website, Facebook page, Twitter feed and in the comprehensive Brockley Max festival guide.

Last year, around 5,000 people attended Brockley Max. This year, we’ve got the Brockley Street Art Festival taking place alongside Brockley Max, so there’ll be even greater interest in the area and the exciting arts events that are happening here.

So if you want to try out a new comedy routine, share your art skills with others – or even put on a puppet show, Brockley Max is a great place to do it.
