We take to the streets to launch the festival in true rock’n’roll style. Join us for this fantastic, free evening of live music outside Brockley station.

Singer/Songwriter Night | The Chandos Hotel | 8pm – midnight, 28th May| Free

With headliner Alan Tyler and support from Steve Somerset, Nathan Persad and Ceri James. Four wonderful singer/ songwriters doing what they do best.

Community Hairbrush Choir | St Hilda’s Church Undercroft | 1.30pm – 5.30pm, 28th May | Free

Dust off your vocal chords and sing into your hairbrush. Join in with songs you already know and love from ABBA and Mamma Mia. No need to audition! Public performance at 4.45pm.

The Grey Cats & Guests | Ladywell Tavern | 8pm – 11pm, 28th May | Free

This seven-piece SE London band has a wide repertoire, including songs from the 60s to the present. They’re collectively inspired by the idea of playing their own rock and classic soul and songs by The Clash and the late great Joe Strummer.

Brockley Acoustic Mini Music Fest | The Brockley Deli | Midday – 5pm, 29th May | Free

Head to Brockley Deli as Phoebe Osborne of Cwtch Music showcases yet more great talent in this Sunday afternoon mini-music festival.

One Harmony Radio | Jam Circus | 9pm – 1am, 29th May | Free

Join the folks from One Harmony Radio for some R&B, reggae, soul and old skool tunes.

TavJam Brockley Max Special | Ladywell Tavern | 8pm – 11pm, 29th May | Free

A weekly jam session and open mic night, led by Blue Note groove specialists The New Jazzmags. A brilliant night of soul, funk and blues.

Felix’s Rock Choir | Ladywell Tavern Time | 8pm – 10pm, 30th May | Free

The Choir returns to the Ladywell Tavern for a super singalong of rock, pop and soul classics and classics-to-be. Children welcome.

Ryoku Classical Piano Performance | St Hilda’s Church | 5pm – 6.30pm, 31st May | Free

Ryoku treats Brockley Max-goers to a classical music repertoire. Includes Rameau, Ravel and Chopin piano solos plus a viola sonata composed by Rebecca Clarke. Children welcome.

La La Piano Bar To The Max | Brockley Social | 1st June, 8pm |Tickets  £12, concs £8.

Sing your heart out as New York meets Brockley in this riotous night of cabaret hosted by David Roper (4 Poofs And A Piano) and Lady La La.

Alice In Grooveland | Jam Circus | 8.30pm, 2nd June | Free

Jam Circus kicks off its live music weekend with the return of this fantastic four-piece jazz band Alice in Grooveland, a huge hit at last year’s Brockley Max.

Mick Kemp & Friends | Ladywell Tavern | 5pm, 3rd June | Free

A chilled-out musical evening of different styles and inspirations. Mick Kemp, a blues veteran of more than 55 years, jams with frequent collaborator Dug Howard and percussionist Simon Godfrey and other guests. Children welcome until 9pm.

Can’t Stop Groovin’ | The Honor Oak |8pm – 1:30am, 4th June | Tickets £5
