How to bid in the Brockley Max fundraising auction

Brockley Max is holding a fundraising auction as part of the Festival Preview Night on Thursday 5th March at Jam Circus.

You can bid on the night and soak up the atmosphere at this popular local venue. We’ve even got a toe-tapping jazz and funk band, Alice In Grooveland, to entertain you.

If you can’t join us in person, we’ve also got some ingenious ways you can bid by text, email or Twitter – equivalents of the old-fashioned sealed bid.

The line-up of brilliant prizes includes vouchers for nights out at local restaurants, cocktail bars and the theatre, cookery classes for adults and children, home improvement vouchers, exercise classes and bike maintenance and even a super Uuni wood-fired pizza oven so you can enjoy a night out on the tiles. For the full prize list see our dedicated auction page.

The fundraising auction starts at 8.30pm. To place a bid at the event just raise your hand when the auctioneer calls out the lot you want to bid on. If yours is the highest bid, you’ll be given an envelope containing details of how to claim your prize.

Please note that Brockley Max can only accept payment by cash or cheque. There is a cash machine directly opposite Jam Circus for those who need last-minute cash top-ups!

Want to bid but can’t make it on the night?

No problem – just place a sealed bid before the auction. To do this make a note of the auction item and the lot number and then send us this information along with your full name and the amount you want to bid. You can either bid via text message to 07971 08224 or email info@brockleymax.co.uk. If you prefer to bid via Twitter, first follow @brockleymax on Twitter and ask us to follow you back. You can then send us a direct message on Twitter with the lot number, item name and the amount you want to bid.

All bids must be received no later than 6pm on Thursday 5th March. If yours is the highest bid we’ll contact you after the auction with details of how to claim your prize. Remember, you must include your name, the auction item, bid amount and the auction lot number. Bids are legally binding.

All these prizes have been donated by our wonderful local businesses to help raise funds for the Brockley Max festival. The festival couldn’t happen without their generosity and we really appreciate their kindness. Please dig deep and bid high to win!
